This braiding machine is of the type comprising pinions (5), wheels (6) for orienting the spindles (28) and an axial support (17) on which are articulated picker blades (19). According to the invention, the rotational connection of each wheel (6) to its drive pinion (5) is made by wedging members, the wedging and unwedging of which are controlled by a cage interposed between pinion and wheel, in frictional contact with the pinion (5) and comprising at least one outer projecting finger bearing against a moveable lock (54) in dependence on the programming, whilst each wheel (6) is equipped, on the one hand, with a peripheral cam profile (43) interacting with a pusher (44) for controlling the movement of one of the picker blades and, on the other hand, with radial notches capable of coming into abutment on the fingers of the cage. <IMAGE>

Ce métier à dentelle est du type comprenant des pignons (5), des molettes (6) d'orientation des fuseaux (28), un support axial (17) sur lequel sont articulés des lames de battants (19). Selon l'invention, la liaison en rotation de chaque molette (6) avec son pignon d'entrainement (5) est assurée par des organes de coincement dont le coincement et le décoincement sont commandés par une cage intercalée entre pignon et molette, en contact de frottement avec le pignon (5) et comportant au moins un doigt extérieur en saillie s'appuyant contre un verrou mobile (54) sous la dépendance de la programmation, tandis que chaque molette (6) est munie, d'une part, d'un profil périphérique en came (43) coopérant avec un poussoir (44) de commande du mouvement de l'une des lames de battant et d'autre part, de crans radiaux aptes à venir en butée sur les doigts de la cage.
