[origin: EP0326142A2] In order to attach a control element (control wheel) for potentiometers, rotary resistors and the like to a supporting base it is proposed that the control wheel be arranged opposite a sprung part and that the rotatable axle on the control wheel be guided by the potentiometer and the sprung part, which is preferably the dust protection cover of the potentiometer. A retaining arrangement is then attached to the free axle stump, which retaining arrangement produces prestressing between the sprung part and the control wheel. <IMAGE>
