Abstract (en)
The abrasive and/or scouring pad of the invention comprises a foam core (2) between two nonwoven materials (1). Its characteristics are as follows: the said core (2) is a polyurethane foam: the nonwoven materials (1) are based on a mixture of polyamide and polyester fibres; the said polyamide having physical properties close to those of the said polyurethane foam; the said nonwoven materials and the said foam are joined together at their periphery (3) by heat welding either directly or by the intermediary of two layers of a thermofusible or thermosoftening material disposed on either side of the said foam. This said pad advantageously substitutes for steel wool when it is coated with abrasive loads. It can also be used as a scourer for fragile surfaces when it contains no or few abrasive loads. The present invention also concerns a method for manufacturing the said pad. <IMAGE>

La présente invention a pour objet un tampon abrasif et/ou récurant, comportant une âme (2) en mousse entre deux nontissés (1). Ses caractéristiques sont les suivantes : - ladite âme (2) est une mousse de polyuréthanne ; - les nontissés (1) sont à base d'un mélange de fibres de polyamide et de polyester ; ledit polyamide présentant des propriétés physiques voisines de celles de ladite mousse de polyuréthanne ; - lesdits nontissés et ladite mousse sont solidarisés à leur périphérie (3) par thermosoudage, soit directement, soit par l'intermédiaire de deux couches d'un matériau thermofusible ou thermoramollissant disposées de part et d'autre de ladite mousse. Ledit tampon se substitue avantageusement à la laine d'acier lorsqu'il est revêtu de charges abrasives. Il peut également être utilisé comme récurant des surfaces fragiles, lorsqu'il ne comprend pas ou peu de charges abrasives. La présente invention a également pour objet un procédé d'obtention dudit tampon.
