[origin: EP0326653A1] The invention relates to a jettisonable sabot with driving belt for a subcalibre fin-stabilised projectile. During the operation of detaching the sabot segments, considerable faults can occur on the projectile body, with reduction of the accuracy of hit, as a result of an irregular tearing of the driving or holding belt. The present invention guarantees a uniform and simultaneous tearing of the driving belt 20 at the parting planes 14 and ensures a fault-free detachment of the individual sabot segments 23, 25. This is achieved by positive means 24 arranged on the underside of the driving belt 20 and intended for initiating the tearing and/or limiting the range of expansion of the driving belt 20 about the predetermined breaking point in the parting plane 14. <IMAGE>
