The toy figure (10) has a music and/or speech unit (2) for emitting sound via a sound emitting device (24), the music and/or speech unit being connected to a sound detector (26), by means of which the music and/or speech unit (22) can be activated for a predetermined period above a certain minimum volume of ambient noise. In the activated state of the music and/or speech unit (22), the sound detector (26) is inactive in order not to produce acoustic feedback. The volume of the sound sequence emitted by the sound emitting device (24) decreases continuously or stepwise during the active state of the music and/or speech unit (22). A toy figure (10) thus results which is suitable, in particular, for comforting a child. <IMAGE>

Es wird eine Spielzeugfigur (10) mit einem Musik- und/oder Sprechwerk (22) zur Tonabgabe über eine Tonabgabeeinrichtutng (24) beschrieben, wobei das Musik- und/oder Sprechwerk mit einem Schalldetektor (26) verbunden ist, durch den ab einer bestimmten Mindestlautstärke eines Umgebungsgeräusches das Musik- und/oder Sprechwerk (22) für eine vorgegebene Zeitspanne aktivierbar ist. Im aktivierten Zustand des Musik- und/oder Sprechwerkes (22) ist der Schalldetektor (26) inaktiv, um keine Rückkopplung zu verursachen, und die Lautstärke der von der Tonabgabeeinrichtung (24) abgebenen Tonfolge nimmt während des aktiven Zustandes des Musik- und/oder Sprechwerkes (22) kontinuierlich oder stufenweise ab. Damit ergibt sich eine Spielzeugfigur (10), die insbesondere zur Beruhigung eines Kindes geeignet ist.
