[origin: EP0326850A2] The toy figure (10) has a music and/or speech unit (2) for emitting sound via a sound emitting device (24), the music and/or speech unit being connected to a sound detector (26), by means of which the music and/or speech unit (22) can be activated for a predetermined period above a certain minimum volume of ambient noise. In the activated state of the music and/or speech unit (22), the sound detector (26) is inactive in order not to produce acoustic feedback. The volume of the sound sequence emitted by the sound emitting device (24) decreases continuously or stepwise during the active state of the music and/or speech unit (22).
