[origin: EP0326921A2] The invention relates to a device for connecting an unmatched adaptor to a busbar, the busbar having a retaining channel, which is open on one side, from which a protective-earth conductor, a neutral conductor and at least one phase conductor can be picked off and which has on each side at least one inwardly directed rib for the mechanical attachment of an adaptor. The new device has a housing (1) of insulating material, - which is provided with an engaging part (2), which can be inserted in the retention channel of the busbar (20) and has attachment tabs (4, 5), which can be moved out from the side walls of the engaging part (2), and at least one contact finger (6, 7), which together can be brought by means of a rotatable switching shaft (8) into an insertion position and into a connection position - and which furthermore is provided with a retention part (3) which rests against the busbar (20) and has a retention space (13) into which there can be inserted an adaptor (21), connected to a load, and one whose mutually opposite inner walls there are arranged inwardly directed ribs (14, 15), which interact with attachment tabs of the adaptor (21) for mechanical connection, and cut-outs with contact strips (16, 17, 17') behind them are arranged in these inner walls, which contact strips are connected to the contact fingers (6, 7, 7') and to which can be applied the contact tongues of the adaptor (21), for electrical connection, there being provided on the switching shaft (8) a blocking part (18) which, in the insertion position of the switching shaft (8), projects into the retention space (13) and, in the connection position of the switching shaft (8), releases this space. <IMAGE>
