[origin: EP0327432A2] - The invention relates to a process and a device for hydraulically and selectively controlling in two directions of circulation at least two tools or instruments (81,82,83) of the device connected to a casing (90) placed inside a well (1), the device comprising, furthermore, a first hydraulic line (91) having branches (93) with a first and a second of the two tools or instruments, distribution means (51) designed to modify the circulation of fluid in each of the branches (93) and controlled independently of one another, and a hydraulic-energy generator connected to said first hydraulic line. This process is characterised particularly in that, in order selectively to activate the first tool or instrument (81,82,83): - the distribution means (51) of the second tool or instrument are closed so as to reduce the circulation of fluid in the branch of the second tool or instrument, - the distribution means (51) of the first tool or instrument are opened so as to increase the circulation of fluid in the branch of the first tool or instrument, and - pressure is generated in the first hydraulic line (91) so as to produce, in the branch (93) of the first tool or instrument, a fluid flow travelling in a first direction. <??>The invention also relates to a valve making it possible to carry out the method or using said device. <??>- The invention is used particularly for the hydraulic supply of tools or instruments employed during the working of geological formation fluids, such as oil or gas formations. <IMAGE>
