[origin: WO8810017A1] An electrode having a needle-like forward end section for forming a round air metering hole, and a cone-like head section which permits the formation of a cone-shaped diffusion opening is useful for producing cone-shaped diffusion opening in a rotor blade of a jet engine. The hole and the diffusion openings are formed with a single electrode in one operation. A method of forming such an electrode comprises forming one or more teeth each comprising a straight forward section (6) and a triangular shaped head section (8) into a substantially circular cross-section and coining the triangular head section (8) into a cone-like section.

L'électrode améliorée décrite sert à former par un procédé d'usinage électrolytique des ouvertures de diffusion coniques dans la paroi d'une aile de rotor refroidi par air d'un moteur à réaction ou d'une autre turbine à gaz. L'électrode comporte une section d'extrémité antérieure en forme d'aiguille servant à former un trou de dosage d'air rond et une section de tête conique qui permet la formation d'une ouverture de diffusion conique. Le trou et l'ouverture de diffusion sont formés avec une seule électrode en une seule opération. La présente invention décrit également le procédé de formage d'une telle électrode au moyen d'une opération de frappe.
