According to the invention, the projectile wall (8) of a heavy-duty projectile is so designed segmentally in the circumferential direction between two respective adjacent tail-unit axes (5) that a respective tail-unit fin (6) bears free of any gap against the outer contour (15) of a segment wall (11) and a partial payload space (14) is formed by a respective segment-wall inner face (13) extending parallel to the segment-wall outer contour (15). This arrangement makes it possible to use an enlarged propellant charge (18). Furthermore, the gap-free bearing prevents the tail-unit fins from being destroyed after the projectile leaves the weapon tube. Advantageously, further, each tail-unit mounting allows an overlap of an adjacent tail-unit fin (6) thereby achieving large fin spans to guarantee high flight stability. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Die Erfindung sieht vor, die Geschoßwand (8) eines Lastengeschosses in Umfangsrichtung zwischen jeweils zwei benachbarten Leitwerkachsen (5) derart segmentartig auszubilden, daß jeweils ein Leitwerkflügel (6) spaltfrei an der Außenkontur (15) einer Segmentwand (11) anliegt und von jeweils einer parallel zur Segmentwandaußenkontur (15) verlaufenden Segmentwandinnenseite (13) ein partieller Nutzlastraum (14) gebildet wird. Durch diese Anordnung wird der Einsatz eines vergrößerten Treib - Satzes (18) möglich. Des weiteren werden durch die spaltfreie Anlage Zerstörungen der Leitwerkflügel nach Verlassen des Waffenrohres vermieden. Weiter vorteilhaft gestattet jede Leitwerklagerung eine Überlappung eines benachbarten Leitwerkflügels (6), wodurch große Flügelspannweiten zur Gewährleistung einer hohen Flugstabilität erzielt werden.
