A moulding machine for the prodn. of sand moulds has a work table which can be swivelled around a vertical axis and carries a moulding box and a pattern plate for the top half and a moulding box and a pattern plate for the bottom half of the mould, on opposite sides. One moulding box is situated in the sand filling station and another in the sand compacting station.

Die Formmaschine weist einen um eine vertikale Achse (4) schwenkbaren Tisch (3) zur Aufnahme des Formkastens (1) und der Modellplatte (2) für die obere Formhälfte und des Formkastens (1) und der Modellplatte (2) für die untere Formhälfte auf, wobei die Formkästen (1) und die Modellplatten (2) jeweils diametral einander gegenüberliegend auf dem Tisch (3) angeordnet sind und wobei jeweils ein Formkasten mit einer Modellplatte in eine Sand-Befüllungsstation (5) verschwenkbar ist, während der andere Formkasten (1) mit der Modellplatte (2) in eine Sandverdichtungsstation (6) verschwenkbar ist. Die erfindungsgemäße Formmaschine ist bei der Herstellung von mehrteiligen Sandformen verwendbar.
