Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0327849A2] The connecting wires (17) spaced apart from the underside of the hotplate (2) are terminated on pins (19) with flat connector tongues (29) attached for insertion into their counterpart sockets (100) at the ends of the equipment wiring (34). An insulated body (32) fitted over the tongues (29) holds them over at least part of their length and forms a preassembled structural unit which can be moved from a storage position into a connection position. The resistive heating elements (7) have short termination pins (16) protruding from their insulation for connection to the wires (17), which are secured on both sides of feedthrough holes in a ceramic (e.g. steatite) insulator (20).
