[origin: EP0328512A2] The closure is intended for containers (10) and the like, whose opening edge (12) forms a collar for placing on a cap lid (2) which can be mounted with interposition of a seal (1) pressing on the collar edge. On the container side, the closure has a sleeve (11) which can be placed on the collar (12) and has an unscrewing thread (3) extending from an annular flange (6) to the collar edge. The annular flange (6) is constructed as a border ring for the mounting of a clamping ring (5). Provided in the flange (6) in extension of the threaded part (3) are passage openings (4) with an assigned catch projection (7). The sleeve (11) can optionally be used with a lid (2) with a cap thread, a lid with a border ring for a clamping ring (5), also surrounding the annular flange (6), a lid with a cap thread and a border ring or with a placed-on lid having at least one holding strap which can be inserted through the annular flange opening (8) and catches in the catch projection (7). <IMAGE>
