Abstract (en)
A door closer must allow rapid opening, damped closing and forcible rapid closing. Furthermore, in the final closing movement, a rapid vigorous closing movement must take the place of the slow throttled closing movement, so that it is possible for a lock latch to be actuated. An overflow valve (22) designed in a special way makes it possible, in conjunction with the conventional throttle channels and throttle valves, to perform these various functions in a simple way. In interaction with a run-on member (34) accessible from outside and actuable by means of a tool, this overflow valve (22) makes it possible to vary the opening angle of the door determining the unthrottled final closing movement. Moreover, the overflow valve acting as a relief valve prevents damage because it makes it possible to reduce the sometimes very high pressure in the front cylinder space which is generated when the leaf is closed by hand. <IMAGE>

Ein Türschließer muß ein schnelles Öffnen, ein gedämpftes Schließen sowie ein gewaltsames schnelles Schließen ermöglichen. Außerdem muß in der Schließendbewegung an die Stelle der langsamen gedrosselten Schließbewegung eine rasche, kräftige Schließbewegung treten, damit das Betätigen einer Schloßfalle möglich ist. Ein in besonderer Weise gestaltetes Überströmventil (22) läßt in Verbindung mit den üblichen Drosselkanälen und Drosselventilen diese verschiedenen Funktionen auf einfache Weise zu. Im Zusammenwirken mit einem von außen zugänglichen, mittels eines Werkzeugs betätigbaren Auflaufglied (34) gestattet dieses Überströmventil (22) die Veränderung des die ungedrosselte Schließendbewegung festlegenden Öffnungswinkels der Tür. Im übrigen verhindert das als Überdruckventil wirkende Überströmventil Beschädigungen, weil es den Abbau des beim Schließen des Flügels von Hand entstehenden, unter Umständen recht hohen Druck im vorderen Zylinderraum ermöglicht.
