[origin: EP0328992A2] When packaging electrical power cables, consisting of a cable piece on whose one end there is fitted an extruded plug contact, there is a problem in inserting the wire ends into the contact pins arranged on a connector link and the crimping sleeve of an earthing spring. In the past, this was possible only by using manual means. In order to be able to automate this process as well, a retaining bracket extending over the crimping sleeve of the earthing spring is proposed, which has a funnel-shaped insertion opening for a wire end. <IMAGE>
