[origin: EP0329024A2] The display device, designed especially for aircraft and having a seven-segment structure of the figures for displaying technical data, possesses, in a display field (12) provided for the purpose, a recognition signal indicating the tendency of the figure shown towards "plus" and towards "minus". Through appropriate triggering via the trigger switch (11), each segment (7, 8, 9) is triggered so that, in the field (12) provided for the tendency recognition signal, the figure displayed runs vertically upwards or downwards. <IMAGE>
