Date Mar. 23, 1989.The appliance for assisting a swimmer in swimming, floating and being towed by a boat, includes a substantially board-shaped floating body having a leading edge and a trailing edge each of which have a V-shaped cross section. The floating body has a glass panel with a transverse reinforcing web mounted centrally therein so that the swimmer can observe through the floating body. The floating body has two longitudinal sides each having a handle in the shape of an arcuate protrusion projecting therefrom. Each of the handles is located in the middle of its longitudinal side, and the longitudinal sides are divided by a central transverse axis, each of the handles having a through-going handle opening positioned between the transverse axis and the leading edge. Fastening means, such as screws, are provided on each handle and a tow rope is attached to each of the fastening means by one of its two ends. The middle portion of the rope is attachable to the boat, preferably by a trailing rope from the boat, so that the swimmer may be towed by the boat while executing lateral gliding motions or diving below the water's surface.

Das Gerät besteht aus einem brettförmigen Schwimmkörper von einer quadratischen Grundform mit seitlichen Griffteilen, wo der Schwimmer anfaßt. Dazu gehört ein Kupplungsseil, dessen Enden jeweils an einem Griffteil befestigt sind und dessen Scheitel am Schleppseil eines Bootes angekuppelt wird. Wenn das Boot fährt, kann der Schwimmer durch eine Drehung oder Schwenkung des Schwimmkörpers wie ein Wasserskiläufer nach links oder rechts ausscheren, aber auch streckenweise tauchen. Dabei hat der Schwimmer durch eine Glasscheibe Einsicht in die Unterwasserwelt. Abstract An appliance is composed of a board-shaped floating body, basically in the form of a square, with side handles to be gripped by a swimmer. A coupling rope is secured by its ends to each of the side handles, and its vertex is coupled to the trailing rope of a boat. While the boat is moving, the swimmer can move out to the left or to the right by turning or tilting the floating body, in the same way as a water skier, but he can also intermittently plunge underwater. A glass panel allows the swimmer to observe the submarine world.

Accessoire composé d'un corps flottant ayant la configuration d'une planche de forme générale carrée, doté de poignées latérales agrippées par un nageur. Une corde de raccordement est fixée par ses extrémités à chacune des poignées latérales, et son sommet est accouplé à la corde de traînage d'un bateau. Pendant que le bateau se déplace, le nageur peut aller à gauche ou à droite en tournant ou en inclinant le corps flottant, tout comme un skieur sur l'eau, mais il peut également plonger de manière intermittente. Un panneau en verre permet au nageur d'observer le monde sous-marin.
