Device for retarding the opening or locking action of a breech (1) movable in a casing (2), this breech (1) being subjected to the action of an elastic means (3) intended for returning it into the vicinity of a chamber (4) of a barrel (5) and to the action of a pressure (P) generated in said barrel (5). The breech comprises a breech head (9) and a breech body (10). The breech head is equipped with means (11) interacting with a lock body (12) fixed to the casing (2), these means being intended to cause the breech head (9) to rotate about the axis (A-A) of the barrel (5), and with means (13) interacting with the breech body (10), these means converting the rotational movement into a relative displacement (D) in the direction (A-A) of the breech body (10) in relation to the breech head (9). <IMAGE>

Dispositif de retard d'ouverture ou d'enclenchement d'une culasse (1) mobile dans une enveloppe (2), cette culasse (1) étant soumise à l'action d'un moyen élastique (3) destiné à la ramener au voisinage d'une chambre (4) d'un canon (5) et à l'action d'une pression (P) engendrée dans ledit canon (5). La culasse comprend une tête de culasse (9) et un corps de culasse (10). La tête de culasse est munie de moyens (11) coopérant avec un corps de verrou (12) solidaire de l'enveloppe (2), ces moyens étant destinés à faire tourner la tête de culasse (9) autour de l'axe (A-A) du canon (5), et de moyens (13) coopérant avec le corps de culasse (10), ces moyens transformant le mouvement de rotation en un déplacement relatif (D) dans la direction (A-A) du corps de culasse (10) par rapport à la tête de culasse (9).
