As a result, there must always be a depression in the central region of the cylindrical bearing face. In order to avoid this disadvantage, an edging roller is proposed which is equipped with a semicircular edging groove on its circumference, with the result that the circular blank worked by it has a compression at its outer circumference, into which, after deformation, a raised portion can now also be formed without problems in the central region of the cylindrical bearing face. <IMAGE>
