Konvertierofen (1), der aus einem Innenofen (9) und einem Außenofen (8) besteht, wobei innerhalb des Innenofens (9) ein Transportband (2) oder Konvertierband angeordnet ist. Durch die Zufuhr des zu konvertierenden Gutes auf das Transportband und die Abgabe des konvertierten Gutes aus einem Feststoffbunker (16) wird ein sauerstoffdichter Abschluß des eigentlichen Innenofens gewährleistet.
