To form individual initial products corresponding to a predetermined distribution address sequence for printed products and an individual supplement code for every single receiver address of a printed product, the stores (28, 29) containing the initial products (33, 34) are arranged one above the other, and initial products (34, 33) are taken by rotating drivers (50) and introduced to an intermediate store (62) receiving the individual initial products. Zur Bildung individueller Vorprodukte entsprechend einer vorgegebenen Druckproduktverteileradressfolge und einem individuellen Beilagenschlüssel für jede einzelne Empfängeradresse eines Druckproduktes werden die Vorprodukte (33, 34) enthaltenen Speicher (28, 29) übereinander angeordnet und durch umlaufende Mitnehmer (50) Vorprodukte (34, 33) mitgenommen und in einen die individuelle Vorprodukte aufnehmende Zwischenspeicher (62) eingebracht. Dieser kann nach Fertigstellung des Hauptproduktes (Zeitung) abgerufen werden und die individuellen Vorprodukte können den Hauptprodukten beigelegt werden, wonach diese entsprechend adressiert und Verteilerfahrzeugen zugeleitet werden.
