Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0330620A2] Two bindings (2, 3) are mounted on the snowboard (1). The heel parts (4, 5) of the bindings are constructed as automatic step-in devices. The front part (6, 7) of the bindings (2, 3) comprises in each case a resiliently arranged holding bar (20). The bar (20) is longitudinally displaceable by means of plastic parts (30 and 31) and is arranged so as to be fixable in three positions. Due to a special design of a control surface, provided on the attachment elements (30 and 31), the bar (20) is held resiliently in a horizontal position. If the bar (20) is pressed downwards, it disengages from the arresting means and can be displaced into another position. By means of an actuating bar (10), which is arranged on the binding (3) and is pressed by the ski boot onto the sole plate, a bar (9), which is attached to a snowboard stopper (8), is actuated which, in turn, actuates a wing (11), arranged laterally on the snowboard (1), to brake the snowboard (1) if the ski boot is released from the binding (3). <IMAGE>
