The roller door possesses a flexible door leaf which can be wound onto a winding drum (1) which is mounted rotatably above the door opening surrounded by a door frame and which is pretensioned in the winding direction by a helical torsion spring (20, 21), and an electric motor (9) which transmits a torque to the winding drum (1). So that the helical torsion spring can increase to any desired diameter without impinging on other components, and so that the torsion spring is readily visible for monitoring purposes and easily accessible for maintenance purposes and, if appropriate, for exchange, a freely rotatably mounted shaft (10) which passes through the torsion spring (20, 21) is provided which is rigidly connected with one end to the torsion spring (20, 21), while the other end of the torsion spring (20, 21) is held fixed on the frame. The shaft (10) is in drive connection with the winding drum (1) as a result of gear means (15, 16, 17).

Ein Rolltor besitzt ein flexibles Torblatt, das auf eine oberhalb der von einem Torrahmen eingefaßten Toröffnung drehbar gelagerten Wickeltrommel (1) aufwickelbar ist, die von einer wendelförmigen Torsionsfeder (20, 21) in Aufwickelrichtung vorgespannt wird, und einen Elektromotor (9), der einen Drehantrieb auf die Wickeltrommel (1) überträgt. Damit sich die wendelförmige Torsionsfeder in ihrem Durchmesser beliebig vergrößern kann, ohne mit anderen Konstruktionsteilen in Kollision zu geraten, und damit die Torsionsfeder zu ihrer Überprüfung gut sichtbar und zu ihrer Wartung und ggf. zu ihrem Austausch leicht zugänglich ist, ist eine die Torsionsfeder (20, 21) durchsetzende, frei drehbar gelagerte Welle (10) vorgesehen, die mit einem Ende mit der Torsionsfeder (20, 21) fest verbunden ist, während das andere Ende der Torsionsfeder (20, 21) rahmenfest gehalten ist. Die Welle (10) steht durch Getriebemittel (15, 16, 17) mit der Wickeltrommel (1) in Antriebsverbindung.
