The invention relates to a device for ventilating a room, in particular a toilet, consisting of a fan wheel which is arranged in a housing and can be driven by an electric motor which can be connected as required, of ventilator flaps which are mounted on the housing and can be pivoted into an open position via a rod, of a bimetallic strip which is clamped on one side, electrically heatable and adjusts the rod, and of a heating element designed as a PTC resistance arranged on the bimetallic strip at a short distance from the clamping point. In order to make the usually closed ventilator flaps begin their opening shortly after actuation of the operating switch and assume their fully opened position at the latest after 10 seconds, so that the electric motor can start immediately and no particular delay is required, a second heating element (10) is arranged on the bimetallic strip (7) at a distance from the first heating element (9). <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Vorrichtung zum Belüften eines Raumes, insbesondere einer Toilette, bestehend aus einem in einem Gehäuse angeordneten und von einem bedarfsweise anschaltbaren Elektromotor antreibbaren Lüfterrad, aus am Gehäuse gelagerten und über eine Stange in eine Offenstellung schwenkbaren Lüfterklappen, aus einem einseitig eingespannten, elektrisch erwärmbaren und die Stange verstellbaren Bimetallstreifen und aus einem mit geringem Abstand von der Einspannstelle auf dem Bimetallstreifen angeordneten, als PTC-Widerstand ausgebildeten Heizelement. Um zu erreichen, daß die normalerweise geschlossenen Lüfterklappen kurz nach dem Betätigen des Betriebsschalters ihre Öffnung beginnen und spätestens nach 10 Sekunden ihre vollkommen geöffnete Lage einnehmen, so daß der Elektromotor sofort anlaufen kann und keine besondere Verzögerung erforderlich ist, ist mit Abstand von dem ersten Heizelement (9) ein zweites Heizelement (10) auf dem Bimetallstreifen (7) angeordnet.
