[origin: US4883211A] An explosive powder charge operated fastening element setting device includes a housing supporting a handle. A damping unit is arranged between the handle and the housing so that the handle is displaceable in the setting direction of the setting device against a force developed in the damping device. A fastening element guide is mounted in the housing for movement opposite to the setting direction against a spring force. The force of the damping unit is greater than the spring force. The damping unit includes a cylinder containing a first fluid medium acting on a piston pressing, outside the cylinder, against the housing with a second fluid medium within the cylinder pressurizing the first fluid medium.

Das Bolzenssetzgerät weist ein Führungsgehäuse (1) auf, an dem ein Griffteil (15) gelagert ist. Das Griffteil (15) ist gegen die Kraft einer Dämpfungseinrichtung (17) in Setzrichtung gegenüber dem Führungsgehäuse (1) verschiebbar. Gegenüber dem Führungsgehäuse (1) ist ferner eine Bolzenführung (6) gegen die Kraft einer Feder (11, 14) verschiebbar. Die Ansprechkraft der Dämpfeinrichtung (17) ist grösser als die Kraft der Feder (11, 14). Die Dämpfeinrichtung (17) weist einen Zylinder (18) auf, in welchem ein mit einem Kolben (23) zusammenwirkendes flüssiges Medium (21) unter dem Druck eines Gaspolsters (22) steht.
