A roll is made up of two strips (45, 46) of material, which are separate and can be separated from each other when supplied; the strips are wound around a core and have respective lines of incision (A, A min , A sec ....A<n>; B, B min , B sec ....B<n>) used for tearing, which are arranged in such a way that the lines of incision (A, A min , A sec ....A<n>) of one of said strips are longitudinally staggered with respect to the lines of incision (B, B min , B sec ....B<n>) of the other of said strips.
