This front piece has two bent levers, which grip laterally around the boot sole and are swivellable counter to the force of a release spring, and a sole holder which is adjustable by means of a bolt in a direction extending perpendicular to the surface of the ski and is fixed in the travelling position by its lower end in an elongate hole which is fixed to the ski. <??>In order to improve the release operation in a front piece (101) of this type, provision is made for the sole holder (108) to be held in the travelling position of the front piece (101) in relation to the bearing body (103) by the bolt (106) itself, said bolt (106) being centred by a cylindrical guide surface (103d). <IMAGE>

Dieser Vorderbacken besitzt zwei die Schuhsohle seitlich umfassende Winkelhebel, welche gegen die Kraft einer Auslösefeder verschwenkbar sind, und einen Sohlenhalter, der mittels eines Bolzens in einer senkrecht zur Skioberseite verlaufenden Richtung verstellbar und mit seinem unteren Ende in einem skifesten Langloch in der Fahrtstellung festgehalten ist. Um bei einem derartigen Vorderbacken (101) den Auslösevorgang zu verbessern, sieht die Erfindung vor, daß der Sohlenhalter (108) in der Fahrtstellung des Vorderbackens (101) gegenüber dem Tragkörper (103) durch den Bolzen (106) selbst gehalten ist, wobei der Bolzen (106) durch eine zylindrische Führungsfläche (103d) zentriert ist.
