An annular duct fan (1) is indicated which serves in particular for delivering combustion air on heating appliances, preferably motor vehicle heating appliances. Es wird ein Ringkanalgebläse (1) angegeben, das insbesondere zur Brennluftförderung bei Heizgeräten, vorzugsweise Fahrzeugheizgeräten, dient. Bei diesem Ringkanalgebläse (1) ist ein allmählicher Übergang vom Druckbereich zum Auslaß oder zur Auslaßöffnung (9) vorhanden, wozu der Ringkanal (4) auf der einem Laufrad (3) zugewandten Seite des Ringkanals, ausgehend vom Auslaß (9) stromauf abgedeckt wird. Zweckmäßigerweise wird ein sichelförmiger oder segelförmiger Abdeckabschnitt (11) vorgesehen, der sich ausgehend vom Innenrand des Ringkanals (6) etwa in Höhe der Projektion der Auslaßöffnung auf den Ringkanal (6) stetig entgegen der Verdichtungsdichtung im Ringkanal (6) des Ringkanalgebläses (1) verjüngt und in einer Art abgerundeten Spitze (13) am Außenrand (5) des Ringkanals (6) des Ringkanalgebläses endet. Ferner ist ein Abschnitt am Einlaßbereich (17) vorgesehen, der von dem stegförmigen Unterbrecher (16) gebildet wird, und der teilweise die Einlaßöffnung (8) überdeckt und welcher sich, ausgehend vom Außenrand (5) des Ringkanales, etwa tangential zum Innenrand (6) desselben erstreckt. Dieser Abschnitt (17) ist zugleich in Richtung zum Grund (7) des Ringkanals (4) geringfügig geneigt.
