[origin: WO8908600A1] A process serves to control a device for storing and forwarding yarn, in particular for a loom, on the storage surface of which the yarn can be wound in coils and drawn off by a consumer. A control unit for a take-up drive adjusts the take-up speed in function of the use at least by means of the actual member of coils on the stonage surface, in order to match the actual value to a predetermined target value. The target value is varied at least during changes in the take-up speed, in order to obtain an optimally compact supply of yarn on the storage surface. In a device for storing and forwarding yarn by this process, the control unit (8) is associated with a generator of reference variables (18) for the target values (nV), which vary in a predetermined manner, whereby the target values (nV) vary continously.

Bei einem Verfahren zum Steuern einer Fadenspeicher- und -liefervorrichtung, insbesondere für eine Webmaschine, auf deren Speicherfläche der Faden in Windungen aufwickelbar und von einem Verbraucher abziehbar ist, und bei dem eine Steuereinheit für einen Aufwickelantrieb zumindest anhand des Ist-Werts der Anzahl der Windungen auf der Speicherfläche die Aufwickelgeschwindigkeit verbrauchsabhängig verstellt, um den Ist-Wert einem vorbestimmten Soll-Wert anzugleichen, wird der Soll-Wert bei wenigstens einer Änderung der Aufwickelgeschwindigkeit verändert, um eine optimale Kleinheit des Fadenvorrats auf der Speicherfläche zu erreichen. In einer nach dem Verfahren arbeitenden Fadenspeicher- und -liefervorrichtung ist der Steuereinheit (8) ein Führungsgrößengeber (18) für auf vorherbestimmte Weise variierende Soll-Werte (nV) zugeordnet, wobei die Soll-Werte (nV) sich ändern.
