[origin: EP0332195A2] A drum separator having a multiplicity of cylindrical separating elements which are arranged parallel to the axis of the drum and of which a portion can be displaced to form an adjustable separating gap is described. <??>The separating drum according to the invention is characterised by the combination of the following features: - the separating elements are connected securely in each case in pairs by means of at least one carrier element which is provided on one of the end sides of the separating elements, - the carrier element can be swivelled about the axis, lying in the circumference of the drum, of a cylindrical separating element, - an adjustment wheel which can be driven by means of a revolving adjustment element is provided on at least one end side of the fixed separating element for the purpose of adjusting the separating gap.
