Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0332221A2] The folding machine serves for bending sheets, alone or in combination with units for shearing, notching and profiling sheets and plates, and has at least three cheeks serving to receive bending tools, namely a top cheek, a bottom cheek and a bending cheek. The tools comprise a multiplicity of tool elements forming a set of tool elements and arranged adjacent to one another along the respective cheeks. Each of these elements has a tool socket pin and each cheek has a multiplicity of longitudinally aligned, mutually parallel and equally spaced reamed holes for the tool socket pins. The tool socket pins can be inserted into these reamed holes in such a way that, in the inserted position, they are releasably locked and non-rotatably held in a position in alignment with the longitudinal direction of the cheeks.
