The invention relates to a tool for fixing individual contact elements which are arranged with respect to one another in a row, in the form of a strip, to electrical conductors. The tool consists essentially of a base body which has the guide and feed elements for the contact parts and the lower crimping part, and of a ram on which the crimping die is constructed, and which operates the feed device. The feed device consists of a finger which is moved at right angles to the feed direction in order to engage into the contact parts before it is moved in or against the feed direction. The shape and size of the cross-section of the finger are matched to the opening in the contact parts such that the finger rests on the edge of the opening of the contact parts both in and against the feed direction. In addition, a return stop engages into the contact parts. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Werkzeug zum Anschlagen von einzelnen Kontaktteilen, die bandförmig aneinandergereiht sind, an elektrische Leitungen. Das Werkzeug besteht im wesentlichen aus einem Grundkörper, der die Führungs- und Vorschubelemente für die Kontaktteile sowie das Crimpunterteil aufweist, und aus einem Stößel, an dem der Crimpstempel angebaut ist, und welcher die Vorschubvorrichtung betätigt. Die Vorschubvorrichtung besteht aus einem Finger, der zum Eingreifen in die Kontaktteile senkrecht zur Vorschubrichtung verschoben wird, bevor er in oder entgegen der Vorschubrichtung verfahren wird. Der Finger ist in Form und Größe seines Querschnitts der Öffnung in den Kontaktteilen so angepaßt, daß er an der Kante der Öffnung der Kontaktteile sowohl in als auch entgegen der Vorschubrichtung anliegt. Weiterhin greift eine Rücklaufsperre in die Kontaktteile ein.
