A gate valve for an outlet, in particular an extended outlet, of a vessel containing molten metal comprises an immovable, refractory gate-valve part (3) with inflow and outflow openings and a refractory gate-valve part (13) which can be moved sealingly relative to the immovable gate-valve part and has a connecting channel for connecting the inflow and outflow openings in the open position of the gate valve. In order to avoid penetration openings for the connecting channel, the movable gate-valve part (13) has as a connecting channel at least one recess (15) extending on the circumferential surface (14) of the movable gate-valve part (13). <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Ein Verschluß für einen insbesondere langgestreckten Ausguß eines Metallschmelze enthaltenden Gefäßes besteht aus einem unbeweglichen, feuerfesten Verschlußteil (3) mit Ein- und Auslauföffnungen und einem relativ zu diesem dichtend bewegliche, feuerfesten Verschlußteil (13) mit einem Verbindungskanal zum Verbinden der Ein- und Auslauföffnungen in der Offenstellung des Verschlusses. Um für den Verbindungskanal Durchbrüche zu vermeiden, weist das bewegliche Verschlußteil (13) als Verbindungskanal wenigstens eine sich an der Mantelfläche (14) des beweglichen Verschlußteils (13) erstreckende Aussparung (15) auf.
