Behind the printing station in the transport direction a deflector device (20) is arranged which guides the respective record carriers into the delivery channel appropriate to them. It comprises at least two folding deflector elements (36, 38) which directly at the exit of the printing station (12, 14) substantially extend over the width of the transport web for the record carriers (16, 30) and which are hinge-mounted on axes (40, 44) parallel to one another and at right angles to the transport web in such a manner that a first delivery channel can be opened between them and further delivery channels can be opened between one respective deflector element (36, 38) and a stationary guidance surface (52 or 50).
