In the case of varnish coatings which are elastic below ambient temperature, sanding and polishing of a varnished component is possible only after cooling down the component, for example, in a cold chamber. It is therefore proposed to cool down the varnish coating by directing a blast of cold gas against it and to sand and/or polish it at the same time and/or subsequently.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum Schleifen und/oder Polieren einer Lackierung bei Temperaturen unterhalb der Umgebungstemperatur. Bei Lacken, die unter Umgebungstemperatur elastisch sind, ist ein Schleifen und Polieren eines lackierten Bauteils nur nach Abkühlen des Bauteils beispielsweise in einer Kältekammer, möglich. Es wird deshalb vorgeschlagen, die Lackierung durch Anblasen mit Kaltgas abzukühlen und gleichzeitig und/oder anschließend zu schleifen und/oder zu polieren.
