[origin: EP0333639A2] The invention relates to a method of constructing a mixed sheet pile wall consisting of supporting piles and filling piles. In order to avoid driving the supporting piles and so that the piles can also easily be inserted in heavy soils and soils possibly provided with obstacles, the tubular supporting piles are sunk into the subsoil only down to part of the final foundation depth, in the course of which the material collecting in the inner space of the supporting piles and subsequently beyond the end of the supporting piles is cleared out down to the final foundation depth, whereupon the cleared area below the supporting piles and inside the supporting piles is filled with reinforced concrete, whereupon the filling piles between the supporting piles are inserted into the subsoil down to a depth which is at most equal to the depth of the supporting piles. <IMAGE>
