Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0334016A2] To make it possible for the movement of a folding blade (12) to be fixed precisely in accordance with given requirements for the purpose of achieving good folding performance with a stable suspension of the folding blade and requiring small masses to be moved, a blade suspension is provided which consists of a first swivel member (15) which is driven to produce a to and fro swivel movement, and a second swivel member (16), which are connected at a distance from one another in the longitudinal direction of the folding blade (12) to said blade (12) at a respective hinge point (54) and are held swivellably at a pivot point (19, 30, 101) provided at a distance from the hinge point (54), on a support (11) held on the folding machine side. A coupling member (21) acts on each swivel member (15, 16) at a coupling point (20) in order to cause the folding blade (12) to move up and down with respect to the folding gap between two associated folding rollers (70, 71). The angles and distances between hinge points (54), pivot points (19, 30, 101) and coupling points (120) are identical for the two swivel members (15, 16). The swivel members (15, 16) are in each case connected to the folding blade (12) either by means of a link (24) which is articulated on the folding blade (12) at an articulation point (55) and on the particular swivel member at the hinge point (54), or else by means of a crank guide. For presetting the path of movement for the folding blade (12), a positive guide is fixed to the support (11), said support (11) being guided displaceably on the folding machine side in its longitudinal direction. <IMAGE>
