[origin: EP0334047A2] Tank containers, consisting of a boiler and a boiler support, are fitted with different handling apparatuses for the purposes of transportation and for connection to a carrying system, such as a road or rail vehicle. For the largely universal usability of such tank containers in any desired carrying systems, in particular for the space-saving arrangement of the latter, a boiler (1) with a boiler support is proposed which is provided at its corner points with locking apparatuses for connection to a carrying system and suspension apparatuses, namely bolts (7), which serve for handling the boiler (1), are arranged above its centre of gravity and have a lateral extension, that is to say an extension in a horizontal plane, which lies within the dimension of the diameter (8) of the boiler (1). There thus results a tank container which has been given, inter alia, a special design for connection to a carrying system and for the space-saving arrangement on the latter. <IMAGE>
