U-shaped gripping bars (5) are mounted by their end portions in block-shaped or cuboid swivel bearings (8) at the upper edge of a storage and/or transport container (1) on two opposite sides of the container. Said gripping bars (5) can be folded down against the outside of the walls for placing several containers (1) one inside the other and can be swivelled inwards to form stacking rests for placing the containers (1) one on top of the other. In this case, parts (9, 10, 16) of the gripping bar (5) secure one or more stacked containers (1) against slipping in the longitudinal or transverse direction. The gripping bars (5) can be arranged swivellably on the upper edge either of the transverse or the longitudinal walls (3). The possibility thus arises not only of stacking containers (1) of equal size but also containers (102) having a different base area. <IMAGE>

Am Oberrand eines Lager-und/oder Transportkastens (1) sind an zwei gegenüberliegenden Kastenseiten U-förmige Griffbügel (5) mit ihren Endabschnitten in block- oder würfelförmigen SChwenklagern (8) gelagert. Diese Griffbügel (5) sind zum Ineinandersetzen mehrerer Kästen (1)gegen die außenseite der Wände herunterklappbar und für das Aufeinandersetzen von Kästen (1) zur Bildung von Stapelauflagen einwärts schwenkbar. Dabei sichern Teile (9, 10, 16,) des Griffbügels (5) einen oder mehrere aufgesetzte Kästen (1) in Längs-oder Querrichtung gegen Verrutschen. Die Griffbügel (5) können am Oberrand entweder der Quer-oder Längswände (3) schwenkbar angeordnet sein. Daraus ergibt sich die Möglichkeit, nicht nur Kästen (1) gleicher Größe aufeinanderzustapelm, sondern auch Kästen (102) mit unterschiedlicher Grundfläche. <IMAGE>
