[origin: EP0334797A2] Hot water tank with heating which is controlled by the temperature of the stored water by means of a thermostat which is arranged in the central or upper region of the storage space and monitors the temperature of the service water to be drawn, and of a thermostat which is arranged in the bottom region of the storage space and monitors falling below a temperature limit value in this bottom region. The lower thermostat (11) is connected to a timer which only switches on heating of the stored water when heating controlled by the thermostat (10) arranged in the central or upper region of the storage space (3) has not taken effect within a predetermined period of time.
