[origin: EP0334975A1] This conductor terminal consists of a U-shaped clip (1) in which there can be inserted from above a screw unit consisting of a screw (2), a nut piece (3) and a wire protection part in the form of a domed spring (4). Provided for this purpose on the nut piece (3) are lateral projections (7a, 7b), for which undercut holders (8a, 8b) are located in the upper region of the limbs of the U-shaped clip (1). The engagement position of the screw unit and of the U-shaped clip (1) is locked by providing on one limb of the domed spring in the upper region lateral shoulders (9) in front of which the upper region of the limbs of the U-shaped clip (1) passes on operation of the screw (2) in the sense of clamping the conductor. <IMAGE>
