[origin: EP0335324A2] The prefabricated flat lid part, prepared for being set up, for a package for chocolates in the form of a folding box has a lid panel, projecting evenly on all sides in relation to the package body, for formation of a double-layered projecting edge. The lid part consists of a single blank and the side walls are formed in each case by two side wall parts and the inside side wall parts of the longer side walls of the lid part are slightly wider, preferably by about 0.8 mm to 1.2 mm, than the outside side wall parts. The longer side walls parts are folded inwards over the fold bounding the lid panel, then outwards over the adjacent parallel fold and finally inwards over the fold between the two side wall parts and the outer bounding tabs, adjoining the inner side wall parts, are glued to the inside of the lid panel. The shorter side parts are folded inwards over the fold adjoining the lid panel and glued to the inside of the lid panel by the edge strip adjoining the lid panel.
