Abstract (en)
The main subject of the invention is a coil, a method of manufacturing the said coil and an imaging device comprising such a coil. <??>The invention relates to a coil (2) comprising a support plate (3) of substantially constant thickness and patterns (12, 13) deposited on this support. The patterns (12, 13) are deposited in such a way that the absorption, within a desired pass band, of electromagnetic energy is constant throughout the surface of the coil. <??>In a first illustrative embodiment, the patterns are transparent to the electromagnetic energy of a desired frequency band. <??>In a second illustrative embodiment, complementary patterns are used so as to obtain a constant absorption throughout the surface of the coil (2). <??>The invention applies to the manufacture of two-dimensional electrical coils, such as for example flat coils or spherical dome-shaped coils. Such coils find their applications in compensating the effect of magnetic fields on charged particle beams. In particular they find their application in imaging devices using electron beams. <IMAGE>
