Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a method and apparatus for extending a cloth (2) in open width within a mercerising machine (1). Initially the cloth (2) is guided as a tight strand through various wet treatment operations. It is then introduced into a stenter (8), where it is brought to the desired width. Between the zone of tight strand guiding and the stenter (8) the cloth passes through a free zone (32). Moreover, the rate of advance of the cloth upstream of the free zone and the subsequent rate of advance provided by the stenter can be adjusted relative to one another in such a way that the cloth is conveyed at a speed which is higher than the speed of removal by the stenter. This ensures a loose transfer into the free zone, which improves the opening out of the cloth in the stenter.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum Breitstrecken einer Gewebebahn (2) in einer Mercerisiermaschine (1). Die Warenbahn (2) wird dabei zunächst gebunden geführt und verschiedenen Nassbehandlungs-Schritten unterworfen. Anschliessend wird sie einem Spannrahmen (8) zugeführt, in dem sie auf die gewünschte Breite gebracht wird. Zwischen dem Bereich der gebundenen Warenführung und dem Spannrahmen (8) verläuft die Gewebebahn durch eine freie Strecke (32). Ausserdem lässt sich die Fördergeschwindigkeit der Warenbahn vor der freien Strecke und die anschliessende Fördergeschwindigkeit des Spannrahmens relativ so zueinander verstellen, dass die Gewebebahn schneller gefördert, als vom Spannrahmen abgeführt wird. Dadurch lässt sich eine lockere Uebergabe in der freien Strecke erreichen, was das Streckverhalten im Spannrahmen verbessert.
