[origin: EP0335837A2] The blade of this saw, which can move about its longitudinal axis, can be oriented during the cutting by the handle or by a wheel. If it is directed by the wheel, the handle then directs the frame. If the handle directs the blade, the frame is free in its orientation. In order to prevent the blade from twisting, its tenons must be synchronised by a member which runs along the frame and which consists of a belt device, rods and gears or of teleflex cables. In order to give the inoperative elements play with respect to twisting, the movements of the control element are initially transmitted to the centre of the tenon-synchronisation device which re-transmits them symmetrically to the tenons. <IMAGE>
