Date Apr. 6, 1989.A projectile adapted to be fired by a firearm comprises anchoring means between the outer surface of the tail (3) and the corresponding inner surface of the jacket (7), and the head (2) of the core (1) is connected to the tail by a shoulder (6) and, opposite the tail, the jacket (7) has a rear portion (12) which is of greater thickness than the remainder of the jacket, this rear portion (12) having on the outside undulations (13) adapted to form circular grooves substantially at right-angles to the longitudinal axis of the projectile, a free space (14) being provided between the shoulder (6) and the corresponding part of the jacket (7).
