[origin: EP0336060A2] Known fuel feed devices have the disadvantage that, since the two pump stages are driven by a common shaft, delivery states occur in which the drive speed cannot be optimally matched to the different pump mechanisms. The new fuel feed device is characterised in that the drive speeds of the individual pumps can be optimally controlled by an electronics unit acting externally on one or both pumps, which electronics unit is acted upon by engine parameters and other signals.
