[origin: EP0336887A1] The servo amplifier comprises a polygonal control valve (8), a pilot motor (36) and also a cylinder unit (1). A nut (32) is mounted in the housing (9) of the valve (8) in a rotatable but axially fixed manner. It is connected to the output shaft (37) of the pilot motor (36) in such a way as to be fixed in terms of rotation. With a thread (31) of fine pitch, a control shaft (25) is screwed into the nut (32). At the opposite end, the control shaft (25) is screwed with a coarse thread (28) into a nut (29) connected to the piston (3) of the cylinder unit (1). Great flexibility is obtained with this design. With relatively few individual parts, servo amplifiers with different power ranges can be assembled for both pneumatic and hydraulic applications. <IMAGE>
