In a method used for controlling a hydrostatic machine (1, 3) which is connected to a pressure-supply network (6) with an impressed pressure and has an adjustable displacement or capacity, the speed of the machine is controlled by adjusting the capacity. Before the occurrence of a load torque, the capacity of the hydraulic motor (1) can be set to a predetermined value by means of two throttle valves (10, 11) arranged in the inlet and outlet (4, 7), respectively, of the motor (1) and adjustable in common. When the load torque occurs, the two throttle valves (10, 11) are opened in such a way that a corresponding pressure difference arises at the motor (1) and it can take on the load torque without significant alteration of the capacity. <IMAGE>

Ein Verfahren zum Steuern einer hydrostatischen Maschine (1, 3), die an ein Drucknetz (6) mit eingeprägtem Druck angeschlossen ist und verstellbares Hub- bzw. Schluckvolumen aufweist, wird in ihrer Drehzahl durch die Verstellung des Schluckvolumens geregelt. Das Schluckvolumen des Hydraulikmotors (1) ist vor dem Auftreten eines Lastmomentes mittels zweier gemeinsam verstellbarer, im Zu- bzw. Ablauf (4, 7) des Motors (1) angeordneter Drosselventile (10, 11) auf einen vorbestimmten Wert einstellbar und die beiden Drosselventile (10, 11) werden beim Auftreten des Lastmomentes derart geöffnet, daß eine entsprechende Druckdifferenz am Motor (1) entsteht und er ohne wesentliche Änderung des Schluckvolumens das Lastdrehmoment übernehmen kann.
