In the hydrostatic support of the rolls of a rolling mill, the utilisation of the supporting surface available is of particular importance both for centring and for expenditure in terms of energy and costs. However, the hitherto known supporting devices for rolls permit only a relatively low utilisation of the supporting surface available and are therefore afflicted by a correspondingly high expenditure in terms of energy and costs. According to the invention, very high, almost 100% utilisation of the supporting surface of the supporting element is achieved by the fact that each roll (2) is provided with only one supporting element (1), which extends over the entire length of the roll (2) and the shell-shaped recess (3) of which is preferably of elliptical cross-section and that, arranged in the shell-shaped recess of the supporting element (1), are mutually spaced blocking webs (5) which extend transversely to the said element and divide the shell-shaped recess (3) into a plurality of pressure chambers (6) to which the pressure-medium lines (7) are connected. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Bei der hydrostatischen Abstützung der Walzen eines Walzwerkes ist die Ausnutzung der zur Verfügung stehenden Stützfläche sowohl für die Zentrierung als auch für den Energie- und Kostenaufwand von besonderer Bedeutung. Die bisher bekannten Abstützvorrichtungen für Walzen ermöglichen jedoch nur eine verhältnismäßig geringe Ausnutzung der zur Verfügung stehenden Stützfläche und sind daher mit einem entsprechend hohen Energie- und Kostenaufwand behaftet. Gemäß der Erfindung wird nunmehr eine sehr hohe nahezu 100%ige Ausnutzung der Stützfläche des Stützelementes dadurch erreicht, daß für jede Walze (2) jeweils nur ein Stützelement (1) vorgesehen ist, das sich über die ganze Länge der Walze (2) erstreckt und dessen schalenförmige Ausnehmung (3) vorzugsweise im Querschnitt ellipsenförmig ausgebildet ist, und daß in der schalenförmigen Ausnehmung des Stützelementes (1) quer dazu verlaufende Sperrstege (5) mit Abstand voneinander angeordnet sind, die die schalenförmige Ausnehmung (3) in mehrere Druckkammern (6) unterteilen, an die die Druckmittelleitungen (7) angeschlossen sind.
